North Berwick, Scotland

So yesterday we woke up early and decided to go on an adventure.  We started out the day with an hour and an half bus ride to the small village of Dirleton.  From the bus stop we walked about a mile to  Yellowcraigs Beach.  It was very beautiful there, raining the whole time, but beautiful.

After playing around for a little while we continued to walk down the beach for about 3 miles until we arrived at North Berwick.  This is a small fishing village.  It is right on the coast and also very beautiful.

Along our walk to North Berwick we spotted the largest jellyfish that either one of us has ever seen!  It was huge!  We also found some really cool shells along the way.

Once we arrived in North Berwick we checked out the pier and harbor then headed into the village.  After walking through the shops and thrift stores (there are tons here in Scotland) we then headed to the train station to make our way back to Edinburgh.  It was my first train ride ever and took about 30 minutes to get back.  Jeremy feel asleep, he was unamused, but I was loving being able to checkout the countryside.  We arrived back to the flat around 6:30 and found out that we had to be at the theater ready to do make-up at 8pm because a TV station wanted to film us getting into costume and make-up.  It was a little interesting being filmed while getting ready for a show, but it will be fun to watch.  I think that it is supposed to be posted online so I'll let everyone know when I know something.

Today was just a day to relax.  Jeremy did work and I had a rehearsal at 2pm. Starting today we will have to hand out flyers to our show every other day to people at other shows so we'll be trying to see the country on our days off.  That means we have an adventure for tomorrow!

  1. Monica! It looks like you're having a lot of fun. I'm enjoying the pictures. I've been stuck in gloomy southern California for most of the time you've been gone, but recently escaped to UTAH! Yummy is not the same without you, needless to say. Well, keep up the bloggin'. I look forward to more entries.
